Rox Boyle

Rox Boyle (they/them) is a third-generation immigrant and settler of Italian-Anglo descent born and raised on the unceded territory of the lək’wəŋən peoples, so-called Victoria, BC. They recently graduated from Concordia University with a BFA in photography. Rox's artistic process is centred in community through connection and grassroots projects. They are passionate about the possibilities of combining activism and storytelling through art making.

The Similkameen Artist Residency has been an inspiring and peaceful experience. I very much enjoyed it as my first residency. Ali, the long-term artist/onsite coordinator, is so warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The log house is big and bright, situated in the unique ecosystem of the Okanagan Valley. I loved the Keremeos community garden and will definitely be back to visit the friends I made in Cawston!
