Her most recent work explores the complicated topic of wildfires and their connections to tourism, economy, grief, and renewal.

I highly recommend the Similkameen Artist Residency for artists who want to focus on their practice in a rural setting in a beautiful part of BC. The property itself offered beautiful exploratory walks, wildlife sightings, successions of wildflowers in bloom, towering cliffs and stunning sunsets. I enjoyed riding my bike in the local communities, exploring the south Okanagan by car, and having a social setting to share meals with fellow artists. All the staff and coordinators help make such a welcoming space for visiting artists. I hope to be back for another stay at SAR!
