During my time at the Similkameen Artist Residency I worked on an in-progress project started in 2022. This project consists of a series of abstract paintings and drawings exploring my relationship with the territories I inhabit and their influence in my work. I took advantage of the time and space given to me by this residency to keep working on this series. It was particularly refreshing to work alongside other artists and to delve into their practices as well. It also allowed me to get feedback from them and to gain a better understanding of their view on my work.
