I loved the time at the Silmikameen artist residency, exploring the Valley and learning from my fellow residents Sidi, Emily and Heloise. It was great to be surrounded by a new landscape and a different pace of life than the city, the isolation and space felt grounding. The studios are beautiful and well equipped and I slept soundly in the quiet darkness. I spent my days exploring the landscape biking and hiking then reflecting on it within the studio. I was also there when Heloise named a horse in a field Cappuccino. Thanks for the great time.
